A self-hosted web app for making animated flight-route videos. You plan routes on a real map in the browser, then style and time them, and it renders an MP4 of planes flying across satellite or street maps with a moving camera.
Map & camera
- Satellite or street map styles, with an optional place-names layer.
- Place search to jump to any city or airport.
- Camera keyframes, each with position, zoom and rotation:
- A hold time and a transition time per key.
- Transitions are eased smoothly, including zooming across many zoom levels.
- Map rotation. Keys can rotate the view up to ±180°.
- Tritone colour grade: recolours the map with custom shadow, mid and highlight colours.
Flight paths
- Multiple paths in one video, each with its own plane, style and timing.
- Segment shapes per leg: straight, curved, or hand-shaped with pen-tool curve handles.
- Draggable points on the map, with undo/redo.
- Timing:
- A start time and a duration per path.
- A stop (hold) at any point.
- Or exact Arrive/Depart seconds per point; speed is smoothed for the rest.
Plane & trail
- Plane art: 14 built-in aircraft silhouettes (A380, 747, 787, Learjet…), any colour. You can also upload your own transparent PNG.
- Plane size: one fixed size, or varying along the route (small → big → small).
- Plane glow: colour, intensity and feather.
- Trail:
- The flown part and the part still ahead, each with its own colour, width and dash spacing.
- Either part can be hidden.
- A comet-style fading tail.
- Trail glow: colour, intensity and feather, for all paths or per path.
Overlays
- Pins:
- Placed anywhere, or locked to a path point so they follow it.
- Dot and ring toggled separately, custom colour and size, or a PNG icon.
- A label and sub-line, with offset, rotation, size and drop shadow.
- A typewriter reveal timed to the plane’s arrival plus a delay, with speed set as total time or per letter.
- An option to hide the pin until its reveal.
- A pulsing ring: grow + fade, grow only, or staggered rings.
- Route labels: start and end labels, with font, case, bold/italic, colours and shadow.
- Plane text: labels that ride along with the plane.
- Map text and map marks: fixed text anchored to places on the map.
- Number readouts: animated on-screen numbers, either keyframed values or live distance from the plane to a pin.
Editor
- A 720p stage that shows what the video will look like.
- A timeline with play, scrub and keyframe stepping. It shows the camera, plane motion, trails, glows and pin animations live.
- Projects autosave, with full undo/redo and a render history.
- What you preview is what you get in the final video.
Rendering
- Output: 30 fps MP4, at 1080p or 4K, with the map kept sharp at every zoom level.
- Job queue: renders run one at a time, with progress and cancellation.
API
Projects, maps, previews and renders are also available through an API, so other apps and scripts can build and render videos without the browser.
